 \bold{Given},  \: a=-2, b=1, c=-3

  \small\bold{To  \: verify } ,\:  \bold{a \times (b + c) = (a \times b) + (a \times c)}

 \small \bold{Let, \: a \times (b + c) =  - 2 \times (1 + ( - 3) = 4}

 \small \bold{(a \times b )+ (a \times c) = ( - 2 \times 1) + ( - 2 \times ( - 3) = 4}

From (1) and (2)

a × (b + c) = (a × b) + (a × c)

∴ Distributive property of multiplication over addition is true for the given rational numbers.
