Answer:
Here, RAJU is a parallelogram with AC as its diagonal.
We know, in parallelogram opposites sides are parallel.
So, RA∥UJand RU∥AJ
Since, RA∥UJ and RJis the transversal
⇒ ∠ARJ=∠URA ---- ( 1 ) [ Alternate angles ]
Similarly, RU∥AJ and AC is the transversal.
⇒ ∠URJ=∠AJR ---- ( 2 ) [ Alternate angles ]
Adding ( 1 ) and ( 2 ),
⇒ ∠ARC+∠UAJ=∠UJA+∠AJA
⇒ ∠ARU=∠UJA
Similarly, we can prove, ∠RUJ=∠RAJ
∴ We have proved that, opposite angles of a parallelogram are equal.
