Verify in the following whether g(x) is a factor of p(x).
(i) g(x)=x-3 ; p(x)= x - 4x²+x+6
(ii) g(x)=x+1 : p(x) = 2x' + x² - 2x +1
(iii) g(x)=x-2 : p(x) = x - x - x - x-2
(iv) g(x)=x-1 : p(x)= x° +5x² – 5x +1
(v) g(y) =y+4 : p(y) = y2 +2y-1

1.g(x)=x-3

x=3

now put the value of x in p(x)

x-4x^2 +x +6

3 - 4(3)^2 +3 +6

3-4(9)+3+6

3-36+9

12-36

-24
