Verify that the following numbers represent
Pythagorean triplet:

(b) 7, 24, 25
(©) 6, 8, 10
(d) 2, 1.5, 2.5​

  • According to Pythagorean triple

AC² = AB² + BC²

so for option a

AC = 25 cm AB = 24 cm. BC = 7 cm

By applying Pythagorean triple

( 25 ) ² = ( 24 ) ² + ( 7 ) ²

625 = 576 + 49

625 = 625

it proved that option a is repseent Pythagorean triple.

For option b

AC = 10 cm. AB = 8cm BC. = 6 cm

By applying Pythagorean triple

( 10 l ² = ( 8 ) ² +. ( 6 )²

100. = ( 64 ) + ( 36 )

100 = 64 +36

100 = 100

It proved that option b is also represent Pythagorean triple .

For option c

AC = 2.5 cm AB = 2 cm BC = 1.5 cm

By applying Pythagorean triple

( 2.5 )² = ( 2 )² + ( 1.5 )²

6.25 = 4 + 2.25

6.25 = 6.25

It proved that option c is also represent Pythagorean triple
