Q.

Verify that whether -2 and 3 one of the zeroes of the polynomial - - x - 6

Solution -

polynomial -

p(x) = - x - 6

Putting the value of x as -2

p(-2) = (-2)² - (-2) - 6

= 4 + 2 - 6

=> 6 - 6

=> 0

So, -2 is one of the zeroes of p(x)

Putting the value of x as 3

p(3) = 3³ - 3 - 6

= 9 - 3 - 6

= 9 - 9

= 0

So, 3 is also a zero of p(x)

Hence -2 and 3 Both are zeroes of polynomial.

hope it helps.
