Given that x=\frac{-2}{7}  \ and \ y=\frac{4}{7}

By substituting  these values, it is needed to verify,

(x-y)-1\neq x-1-y-1

on solving L.H.S. we get,

\implies (\frac{-2}{7}-\frac{4}{7})-1

=\frac{-6}{7} -1=\frac{-13}{7}

on solving R.H.S. we get,

\frac{-2}{7}-1- \frac{4}{7}-1\\ \\=\frac{-20}{7}

Hence,

\frac{-13}{7}\neq \frac{-20}{7}

Therefore, verified.
