Step-by-step explanation:

LHS

(x+y)-1

 (\frac{ - 5}{11}  +  \frac{ - 3}{5} ) - 1 \\ = (  \frac{ - 25 - 33}{55} ) - 1  \\  =  \frac{ - 58}{55 }  - 1 \\  =  \frac{ - 58 - 55}{55 }  \\  =  - \frac{113}{55}

RHS

x-1+y

 \frac{ - 5}{11}  - 1 + ( \frac{ - 3}{5} ) \\  = ( \frac{ - 5}{11}  - 1 -  \frac{3}{5} ) \\  =  \frac{ - 25 - 55 - 33}{55}  \\  =   -  \frac{113}{55}

So,LHS=RHS
