in this case, there are infinite solutions and so it is consistent

if a1/a2=b1=b2\neq c1/c2, then the lines are parallel

here, there is no solution as the lines do not meet and it is inconsistent

if a1/a2 \neq b1/b2, the lines meet at a point and are intersecting

hence, there is only 1 soln. and these are consistent equations
