{5/4+(-1/2)}+(-3/2) = 5/4+{(-1/2)+(-3/2)}
(5/4-1/2)-3/2 = 5/4+(-1/2-3/2)
((5-2)/4)-3/2 = 5/4+((-1-3)/2)
3/4-3/2 = 5/4-4/2
(3-6)/4 = (5-8)/4
(-3)/4 = (-3)/4

Given: (5/4+ -1/2) + -3/2 = 5/4 + (-1/2+ -3/2)

To find: We have to find whether the two expressions are equal or not.

Solution:

To verify that the two expressions are equal or not we have to determine the value of the left side and right side expression.

The value of the left side expression is as follows-

 \frac{5}{4}  -  \frac{1}{2}  -  \frac{3}{2}  \\  \frac{5 - 2 - 6}{4}  \\  =  \frac{ - 3}{4}

The value of the right-side expression is as follows-

 \frac{5}{4}  -  \frac{1}{2}  -  \frac{3}{2}  \\  \frac{5 - 2 - 6}{4}  \\  =  \frac{ - 3}{4}

Both the expressions have the same value so this expressions are equal.
