x=-1/3

Put the value of x in the given eq^n

p*-1/3=3*-1/3+1

-px/3=3*-1/3+1

-px/3=-3/3+1

-px/3=-2/3

cross multiplication

-px*3=3*(-2)

-3px=-6

px=-6/-3

=6/3=2

Hence, answer is 2
