The correct statement is:-

Verify the following:

(i) -12/7 + 2/7 = 2/7 + -12/7

OR

Verify the following:

(i) -12/5 + 2/7 = 2/7 + -12/5

and answer is:-

As we know that a+b=b+a

Therefore -12/7+2/7=2/7+(-12/7)

OR

-12/5+2/7=2/7+(-12/7)
