Verify the following statement by drawing a
square and a hexagon.
"The number of vertices of a polygon is equal to
number of sides'.​

In the first picture:-}

Answer: Here I have represent the vertices of a square with tick () and the sides of the square with cross (×). Hence, I have concluded that number of tick mark is equal to the number of cross mark. The number of vertices of the square=4 and the number of sides of the square=4 which are equal.

In the second picture:-}

Answer: Here I have represent the vertices of a hexagon with tick (✓) and the sides of the hexagon with cross (×). Hence, I have concluded that number of tick mark is equal to the number of cross mark. The number of vertices of the hexagon=6 and the number of sides of the hexagon=6 which are equal.
