TO VERIFY

The formula for square of binomials

a = 11 , b = 9

EVALUATION

Here the formula to be verified is

 \sf{ {(a + b)}^{2}  =  {a}^{2}  + 2ab +  {b}^{2} }

Putting a = 11 , b = 9 in LHS we get

LHS

 \sf{ =  {(a + b)}^{2}  }

 \sf{  =  {(11 + 9)}^{2}  }

 \sf{  =  {(20)}^{2}  }

 = 20 \times 20

 = 400

RHS

 \sf{=  {a}^{2}  + 2ab +  {b}^{2} }

 \sf{=  {(11)}^{2}  + 2 \times 11 \times 9 +  {(9)}^{2} }

 = 121 + 198 + 81

 = 400

∴ LHS = RHS

Hence verified
