To verify the identity we want LHS=RHS
Given:- a=2,b=3,x=4
Sol. :- we will put the values in given equation.
(4+2)(4+3)=(4)^2+(2+3)(4)+(2)*(3)
(6)(7)=16+(5)*(4)+6
42=16+20+6
42=36+6
42=42
LHS=RHS
Hence Verified.

Step-by-step explanation:

(x+a)(x+b)=x^2+(a+b)x+ab

x(x+b)+a(x+b)=x^2+(a+b)x+ab

xx+xb+ax+ab=x^2+(a+b)x+ab

x^2+(a+b)x+ab=x^2+(a+b)x+ab

(Here x is common that's why (a+b)x )

With numbers:

(4+2)(4+3)=4^2+(2+3)4+(3×4)

4(4+3)+2(4+3)=16+(8+12)+12

16+12+8+6=16+(20)+12

28+14=36+12

42=42

LHS=RHS

THUS 42 is the answer
