NOTE:these experiments verify laws of reflection of light.

Experiment 1:to prove that angle of incidence=angle of reflection.
Materials required: a drawing board, a white sheet of paper, a few common pins, a protractor, pencil, eraser and a plane mirror.
Procedure:
fix your paper on the drawing board firmly and also the mirror over the paper and trace the mirror’s outline on the paper.
Now draw the normal=90^.
Place the mirror on the outline to see that there is a reflection taking place in the mirror.
Take 2 pins and according to the reflected rays, place the pins to one side of the normal. This must be done in a way such that the pins are aligned in a straight line with reflection of the other 2 pins on other side of the normal.
Repeat this part with the other side as well.
Join the lines formed on either sides of the normal, after removing the pins and the mirror.
Measure the angles.

Observation:we observe that both these angles formed on either sides of the normal are equal to one another.

Conclusion:Angle (i)=angle (r)

Experiment 2: to prove that the angle of incidence, the angle of reflection and the normal lie on the same plane.
From experiment 1,since the lines representing the normal, the incident ray and the reflected ray are all represented on the same sheet of paper, and appear to be on the same surface(represented by a line drawn below in the paper)the second law is also verified.

Hope this helped!!!
