Answer:

Hope this helps

Step-by-step explanation:

a x (b+c) = axb + axc

a) a = -3, b=7, c = -9

(-3) x (7+(-9)) = (-3) x (7) + (-3) x (-9)

(-3) x (-2) = -21 + 27

6 = 6

LHS = RHS

Hence proved.

b) a = 4, b = 5, c = 7

4 x (5+7) = (4x5) + (4x7)

4 x 12 = 20+28

48 = 48

LHS = RHS

Hence proved.
