a) LHS- x × y
=(-2/5) + 1/3 (LCM OF 5&3 =15)
-2/5×3/3= -6/15 & 1/3×5/5=5/15
-6/15 + 5/15 = 1/15
RHS= y×x
= 1/3 × -2/5 (LCM=15)
= 1/3 ×5/5=5/15 & -2/5 × 3/3= -6/15
=5/15 × -6/15 == -30/15 RHS is not equal to LHS
Same u do for b also.
