8

h { }^{2}  = p {}^{2}  + b {}^{2}  \\ 10 {}^{2}  = 9 {}^{2}  + 8 {}^{2}  \\ 100 = 81 + 64 \\ 100 = 145 \\  \\ so \: they \: are \: not \: pythagorean \: triple

\bold{\huge{\underline{Solution:}}}

let 2m = 8

=> m = 8/2 = 4

Again,

m² - 1

=> (4)² - 1

=> 16 - 1

=> 15

And,

m² + 1

=> (4)² + 1

=> 16 + 1

=> 17

Hence,

we conclude that (8,9,10) are not the Pythagorean triplets.

rishikesh87: How I know that which are Pythagorean or not using this formula
rishikesh87: please reply me
BrainlyQueen01: Just have a look on answer carefully
rishikesh87: I can't understand
rishikesh87: after gaining 17 how you know that it is not Pythagorean
BrainlyQueen01: well, it is given (8,9,10) so take the first number, i.e., 8 = 2m
BrainlyQueen01: because it must come 9, 10
rishikesh87: Thanks
BrainlyQueen01: my pleasure ^_^
