Verify, whether g(x)is a factor of f (x)
i) f(x) = x×x×x – 3x² +4x – 4, g(x) = x – 2
ii) f(x) = 2x} +4x+6, g(x)= x+1

Answer:

The given g(x) are the factor of f(x).

Step-by-step explanation:

i) given,

f(x) = x×x×x-3x^2+4x-4

= x^3-3x^2+4x-4

g(x)= x-2

x=2.

= (2)^3-3(2)^2+4(2)-4

=8-12+8-4

=16-16

=0

Therefore, the given g(x) is the factor of f(x).

ii) given,

f(x)=2x+4x+6

g(x)=x+1

x = -1

=2(-1)+4(-1)+6

= -2-4+6

= -6+6

=0.

Therefore, the given g(x) is the factor of f(x).

Hope it helps you....
