Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

p(x) = 3x+1

and x = -1/3

Substitute x = -1/3 in p(x)

P(-1/3) = 3*(-1/3) + 1

P(-1/3) = -1+1

p(-1/3) = 0

Hence , -1/3 is the zero of the polynomial p(x) = 3x+1

ANSWER :-

p(x)=3x+1.............(1)

and , x=-1/3

Put the value of x in equation (1)

p(-1/3) = 3(-1/3)+1

p(-1/3) = -1+1

p(-1/3) = 0

Hence , -1/3 is a zeroes of polynomial p(x)=3x+1
