9 {x}^{2} - 3x - 2 = 0 \\ \\  if \: x =  \frac{2}{3}  \\  \\ 9 {( \frac{2}{3} )}^{2}  - (3 \times  \frac{2}{3} ) - 2 \\  \\  = 9 \times  \frac{4}{9}  - 2 - 2 \\  \\  = 4 - 4 \\  = 0

if \: x =  -  \frac{1}{3}  \\  \\ 9 { (-  \frac{1}{3}) }^{2} -( 3  \times  -  \frac{1}{3} ) - 2 \\  \\  = 9 \times   (- \frac{1}{9} ) - ( - 1) - 2 \\  \\  =  - 1 + 1 - 2 \\  =  - 2

2/3 is a root og this equation

-1/3 is not a root of this equation
