hi

aim :to Verify (x+y)+z=x+(y+z) if x=3/4,y=2/5 and z=3/4

lhs                                                                     rhs

(x+y)+z                                                     x+(y+z)

 x=3/4,y=2/5 and z=3/4                             x=3/4,y=2/5 and z=3/4

(3/4 +2/5) +3/4                                                    3/4 +(2/5 +3/4  )

23/20 +3/4                                                           3/4 + 23/20

38/20      =     19/10                                      38/20      =     19/10

                lhs = rhs

hope it helps u

This is the associative property under addition
(x+y) + z =  (3/4+2/5) + 3/4
              =  (15/20+8/20) + 3/4
              = 23/20 + 3/4 = 23/20 + 15/20
               = 38/20 = 19/10

x + (y+z) = 3/4+ (2/5 + 3/4)
               = 3/4 + ( 8/20 + 15/20)
               = 3/4 + 23/20 = 15/20+ 23/20
               = 38/20 = 19/10
As 19/10 = 19/10
Hence, Verified
