Answer:
The treaty of versailles undoubtedly imposed long term impositions and humiliation that led to their downfall. Following are the imposed taxes paid by germany after being defeated in the 1st world war:
Germany lost its overseas colonies , 1/10 of its population, 13% of its territories,75% of its iron and 26 % of its coal to the allies.
Germany also faced demilitarisation and it had to pay 6 billion compensation for the war damage the allied countries suffered .
This led to the humiliation of Germany as they turned from a country of creditors to debtors . Also , now they had to borrow money from other countries because they lost financial stability.
Hence we can say versailles treaty was indeed humiliating for Germany and its citizen.
