because very hard material have so compact molecular space and hence they can't be compressed

The methods of hardness testing could be taken by material that has been calculated by measuring the force.
The force could be applied and comparing the geometrical aspect of the indentation.
Moreover, surface area or depth could be calculated and thus move over the object to see the indentations.
Hardness testing could takes place in different aspects.
