hile laying the foundation stone of the Ambedkar memorial in Mumbai on November 19, 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked November 26 as the Constitution Day of India. Since then November 26 is celebrated as the Constitution Day or the Samvidhan Day of India every year. The day marks the birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar (the Chairman of the Drafting Committee of Constituent Assembly) and his contribution in the formation of the Constitution of India.
