1.) solve the equation: 2p/25=6 and find p.

2.) find product, using suitable properties :

(26)x(58) – (16)x(58)

3.) An elevator descends into mine at the rate of 6m/min. If the descent starts from 10m above the ground level ,how long will it take to reach -350m.

4.) neha reads novel for 11/4 hours everyday . she reads entire book in 8 days . how many hours in all were required by her to read the novel ?​

1) 2p/25=6

=2p=6×25

=2p=150

=p=150/2

=p=75

2) (26)x(58) – (16)x(58)

=58(26-16)

=58×10

=150

3)Total distance covered by an elevator

=10−(−350)m=10+(350)=360mSo, time taken to cover a distance of 6m=1 min

Therefore, time taken to cover

360m= 360 ÷ 6 = 60minutes(1 hour =60 minutes)

Thus, the elevator will reach –350m from 10m in 1 hour.

rate of elevator is 6m/min

let the total time required will be x mins

6m/1min=360m/x min

6x=360

x=360/6

x=60min

ans: it will take 1 hr to reach -350 deep

4)

neha reads a novel for 11/4 hr everday

a day has 24hr

therefore its 11/4part will be 66 min i.e 1hr 6 min

she reads entire book in 8 days

total no. of hrs she required to read a novel = 1.6×8=8.48hrs

ans- she required 8.48hrs i.e 8hrs 48min to read entire novel
