2(2) - 7ʏ = 7

4 - 7ʏ = 7

7ʏ = 7 + 4

7ʏ = 11

ʏ = 11/7

ʟᴇᴛ x ʙᴇ 3

3x + ʏ = 22

3(3) + ʏ = 22

9 + ʏ = 22

ʏ = 22 - 9

ʏ = 13

Answer:

2x−7y=7 __(1) , 3x+y=22×7

⇒21x+7y=154 __(2)

Adding (1) and (2)

2x−7y=7

21x+7y=154

______________

23x=161

x=7

2x−7y=7

2×7−7y=7

7y=14−7

y=1

∴x=7,

y=1
