Given :   Dimensions of triangle ABC  are 26 cm, 28 cm, 25 cm.

Garland is to be placed along the side of  triangle POR which is formed by joining midpoints of sides of triangle ABC

To Find : the length of garland

Solution:

line joining the mid-point of two sides of a triangle is equal to half the length of the third side

Hence PO = AB/2 = 26/2 = 13 cm

OR = BC/2 = 28/2 = 14 cm

PR = AC/2 = 25/2 = 12.5 cm

Garland is to be placed along the side of  triangle POR

length of garland = perimeter of ΔPOR

= 13 + 14 + 12.5

= 39.5 cm

We should welcome our guests.
