Answer:

Length ( a ) = 4 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of initial Chocolate bar = 16 cm × 4 cm × 8 cm = 512 cm³

We know that, on melting only the shape changes, but the amount of volume melted is same as the amount of volume remaining after melting.

It is given that, 8 chocolate cubes are made with the melted chocolate.

⇒ 8 × Volume of cube = 512 cm³

⇒ Volume of cube = 512 cm³ / 8

⇒ Volume of cube = 64 cm³

We know that Volume of cube is a³, where 'a' is the length of each side of cube.

⇒ a³ = 64 cm³

Taking cube roots we get,

⇒ a = ∛ 64 = 4 cm

Hence the length of each side of cube is 4 cm.

Hope it helped !!

Cheers !!

Hello!

-----------------------------------------------

First of all we will find Volume

Volume = 4*16*8 cm

= 512cm^3

----------------------------------------------

We knew that here shape is changed not volume.

Therefore,

512cm^3 = 8*volume

Volume= 512/8

Volume= 64cm^3

-----------------------------------------------

Therefore, length = x^3 = 64

√3 64 = 4

-----------------------------------------------

Therefore, x^3 = 4cm

length of each cubes if she could make only 8 cubes was 4 cm
