Given :-

→ Total length of tower = 48 cm

→ Thickness of each book = 12 mm

To Find :-

→ No. of books needed to make the tower

Solution :-

→ Firstly we will convert the total length of tower in mm

→ As we know that

${\boxed{\underline{\underline{1cm \; =\; 10mm}}}}}$

$\sf 1 cm = 10 mm\\\\48 cm = 48 \times 10 mm \\\\= 480 mm$

→ Now ,

$\sf No. \; of\;books\;needed\;=\; \dfrac{Total\;length\;of\;tower}{Thickness\;of\;each\;book}$

$\sf = \dfrac{480}{12}$

$\sf = 40 \; books$

∴ He, will need 40 books ! :D
