Answer:

let ₹50 coin be x

₹ 100notes be (24-x)

total amount of money in ₹50 coins = 50×x = 50x

total amount of money in₹100 notes = 100(24-x)

=> 2400-100x

A/q

50x + (2400-100x) = ₹1800

50x + 2400 - 100x = ₹1800

50x - 100x = 1800 - 2400

-50x = -600

50x = 600

x = 600/50

x = 12

therefore ₹50 coins = 12

₹100 notes = 24-12

=> 12

 \huge \sf Answer :

Rs 50 notes = 10 and Rs 100 notes = 15

⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀

⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀

 \huge \sf Solution :

Let total Rs 50 notes = x

and total Rs 100 notes = y

∴ Total notes = x + y

But we are given total notes = 24

\sf \implies x+y = 24 \: \: - ①

Now, Vidhya has total money =50x + 100y

But we are given total money =Rs 1800

\sf \implies 50x+100y = 1800

\sf \implies 50(x+2y)=1800

\sf \implies x+2y = \dfrac{1800}{50}

\sf \implies x+2y = \dfrac{\cancel{1800}^{36}}{\cancel{50}}

\sf \implies x+2y = 36 \: \: - ②

⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀

On substraction of ① and ②,

(x+y) - (x+2y) = 24 - 36

x + y - x - 2y = - 12

- y = - 12

\boxed{\sf y = 12}

Now, by putting y in ①,

x+y=24

x + 12 = 24

x = 24 - 12

\boxed{\sf x=12}

∴ Rs 50 notes, x = 12

and Rs 100 notes, y = 12
