Vidisha designed a square garden. If she enlarges it by increasing the width 1m and length 3m, the area will be 19 sq m more then the present area. What is the length of the side now?​

Answer:

let's consider length is = x

and width is =x

width is increases by 1m so width is x+1

and length is increases by 3m so length is x+3

before increases dimension area is A=x²

after increasing dimension x²+19=(x+3) (x+1)

x²+19=x²+x+3x+3

19-3=x²-x²+x+3x

16=x+3x

16=4x

there fore x=4

so length is 4meter

and width is 2 mater
