Vidisha designed a square garden. If she enlarges it by increasing the width 1m and length 3m, the area will be 19 sq m more then the present area. What is the length of the side now?​

now, in second case

length=x+3

and width=x+1

area of new garden is 19 sq m more than the area of original garden

area of new garden= length x width

19 + x² = (x+3)(x+1)

19 + x² = x²+4x+3

16=4x

x=4

length of square garden=4
