Answer:

(i) How much water did Vidya drink?

total water = 5 liters

Given that,

vidya drank 2/5 of water

therefore she drank= 2/5 x total water

                                 = 2/5 x 5

                                 = 2 liters

(ii) What fraction of the total quantity of water did Pratap drink?

water Pratap drank = total water  - water vidhya total water

                                = 5 - 2

                                = 3 liters

fraction of the total quantity of water did Pratap drink= water prathap drank /total water

                                                                                               = 3/5
