Biological diversity or Biodiversity is the term popularized by sociologist Edward Wilston which means the variability among the living organisms from various sources including inter-aerial, terrestrial, marine and other aquatic ecosystems and the ecological complexes of which they are part.  

Biodiversity includes diversity at the genetic level, Species-level and ecological level of the ecosystem.
