Building a new India is almost impossible as long as there is the cancer of corruption in it. Corruption is an obstacle that the people of a country must overcome to be a happy nation. The national goals of economic prosperity, infrastructural development, and overall advancement will remain elusive until corruption is wiped out from our country. Eliminating corruption is impossible without the collective will of the people and the Government.
In order to eliminate the evil of corruption from the country, the Central Vigilance Commission is observing Vigilance Awareness Week throughout the nation from October 29, 2018 to November 3, 2018. The theme for the same is ‘Eradicate Corruption - Build A New India’.
All the organizations – Public or Private, schools, colleges, etc. shall conduct many activities such as taking Integrity Pledge, conducting seminars or workshops on promoting anti-corruption measures and the role of Vigilance Department, conducting debates, speeches, quizzes, etc. on ‘Eradicate Corruption - Build A New India, bringing out newsletters, journals, issues, pamphlets on Vigilance Awareness and anti-corruption measures, etc.
Central Vigilance Commission wishes the Vigilance Awareness Week to be organized in true spirit and zeal. Finally the report of the activities conducted is to be sent to the Central Vigilance Commission by November 30, 2018.
The Vigilance Awareness week was celebrated from 29.10.2018 to 03.11.2018 this year.
The theme of Vigilance Awareness week 2018 was “Eradicate Corruption – Build a New India”.
The day is generally celebrated in every government office throughout India.
The vigilance is referred as the state or action to keep careful eye on various possible difficulties or danger.
