I have done question with two methods

First Method: Euler Form

Seems to be pretty long here bit is in course of IIT and very helpful in doing evaluation of big powers (like (1 + i)⁵ which can't be solved by expansion). This method is also known as cis theta.

Second Method: Usual/Normal Method

Here seems to be an easier method (but in case of large powers becomes night mare as like example I gave above). This is normal method as per your reference books & NCERT.
