2). Sathyagraha Concept introduced in the early 20th Century by Mahatma Gandhi to designate a determined but non violent resistance to evil.

• In 1916, Ghandiji took up the cause of indigo planters in champharan Bihar against the oppressive plantation system.
• In 1917,he supported the cause of peasants who were protesting against payment of land revenue in Kheda, Gujarat. The Crop failure and a plague epidemic was the reason behind their demand.
• In 1918, Mahatma Gandhi organised a Sathyagraha movement against cotton mills workers in Ahmadabad.
