answer : option (d) impossible for any place

when an object is placed in front of concave mirror,

  • when object is placed at infinity : real image is formed at focus of concave mirror. size of image is much smaller than that of object.
  • when object is placed to C : real image is formed between F and C. size of image is smaller than that of object.
  • when object is placed at C : real image is formed at C. size of image equals size of object.
  • when object is placed between C and F : real image is formed beyond C. size of image is larger than size of object.
  • when object is placed at F : real image is formed at infinity and image is highly enlarged.
  • when object is placed between F and pole : virtual image is formed other side of the mirror. and size of image is larger than size of object.

here we can see that there is no any situation in which we get virtual , erect, and image's size is smaller than object.
