He sold all the first lot at the rate of 2 for 3 and the second lot and rate of 1 per banana and got a total of 400 (A/3)2 + B = 400 2/3A + B = 400 ------- (i) A + (B/5)4 = 60, A + 4/5B = 60 --------- (ii). 2/3A + B = 400 ------- (i) x 3/2 A + 4/5B = 60 --------- (ii), A + 3/2B = 600 --------- (iii) Subtract (iii) from (ii) -7/10B = -540 B = 771(3/7). A + 4/5(771 3/7) = 60 --------- (ii). A = -557(1/7).

Since the value of B is a fraction and the value of A is negative, the problem has no solution
