Let the Principal be 100/-

Amount = P + (P x T x R / 100)

For the 4th year A = 100 + ( 100x4x5/100) = 120

For the 3rd year A = 100 + (100x3×5/100) = 115

For the 2nd year A = 100 + (100×2×5/100) = 110

For the 1st year A = 100 + (100×1×5/100) = 105 and for last. A = 100+(100×0×5/100) = 100

So, total amount for 5 years is 550/- for Principal Rs 100/- ,

For a debt of Rs 770/- ———-

Amount 550 ——- Principal 100

Amount 1 ———— 100/550

Amount 770 ———- 100/550 x 770 = 140/-
