Answer:

Average speed= total distance/total time

Total distance= 60+50=110

Total time= 4+3=7

=50+60/4+3

=110/7

=15.71 km/hr was his average speed.

Answer:

54.28km/hr

Explanation:

In 1st Case~

Distance covered by car in 1 hr=60kms.

therefore distance in 3 hours=3×60=180kms.

In 2nd Case~

Distance covered by car in 1 hr=50kms

therefore distance in 4 hrs=4×50=200kms

Thus,

Total distance covered by car=180+200=380kms

Total time taken= 3+4= 7 hrs

Now,

Average Speed of the car=

Average Speed of the car=Total distance covered/total time taken

=380/7

=54.28km/hr

HENCE THE AVERAGE SPEED OF THE CAR IS 54.28 km/hr
