Characteristics of synthetic fibers:

a) They are durable and inexpensive.

b) They are lightweight, smooth and soft than any other fiber.

c) They are easy to maintain as compared to natural fibers.

d) They can be easily washed and dried.

e) They are resilient to wrinkles which makes them more demanding in the clothing industry.

f) Their tenacity makes them find use in many industries.

PVC- polyvinyl chloride, it is thermoplastic.

Uses- Used in a variety of applications in the building and construction, health care, electronics, automobile and other sectors, in products ranging from piping and siding, blood bags and tubing, to wire and cable insulation, windshield system components and more.
