Vimla bought a used car for 45000 and spent 3000 on its overhauling . But she had to sell it for 45600. Find her loss/gain per cent ?

Money spent on its overhauling = 3000 rupees

Therefore total money spend by Vimala on the car,

                                             = 45000 + 3000 = 48000 rupees

Selling price of the car = 45600 rupees

Since selling price is lees than the total cost of the car , its a loss for Vimala.

Loss = 48000 - 45600 = 2400 rupees

Percentage of loss = (2400 / 48000) \times 100 = 5 %
