leta first take out the cost of pen

so the cost of the pen is 20.50

when we subtract it from the total, we get 15

now the cost of all pencils is 15.

and the cost of 1 pencil is 1.50

so now to find the number of pencils we have to divide both.

so 15/1.5 = 10

so the number of pencils vinay bought is 10
