and, m + h + e = 250          ..... 3

$\frac{3e}{h}$ = $\frac{4}{3}$

Cross multiply to get

$\frac{9e}{4}$ = h          ..... 4

replace m and h in equation 3 with values from equation 1 and 4

3e + $\frac{9e}{4}$ + e = 250

Multiply both sides by 4

12e + 9e + 4e = 1000

25e = 1000

e = 40
