Answer:

  • A pole star is a star, preferably bright that is closely aligned with the axis of rotation of an astronomical object.
  • The Pole Star or Polaris is located directly above the Earth's North Pole and stays there all the time. All other stars seem to be slowly moving from east to west as the Earth rotates, but the Pole star remains stopped in the north. For this reason, you cannot see the Pole Star if you are south of the Equator, very close to the Equator, or in the southern hemisphere.
  • India is located north of Equator. The same applies to the northern hemisphere. Although it is located entirely to the east of the Greenwich Line (main meridian), it means that it is located in the eastern hemisphere.
  • New Zealand is an island nation in the southern hemisphere. It is located in the southwest of the Pacific Ocean. Remember that New Zealand is one of the last countries before it reaches Antarctica.

From the explanation, we can conclude that due to the New Zealand position in the south of Equator, we can't see the Pole star from there, and due to India in the north of Equator, we can see the Pole star from there.
