we know that

1kg =1000gram

so,

1000gram cost of potatoes = 20rupees.

so,

1gram cp of potatos =20/1000

=1/50.

a/c to question

if , in 1/50 rupees buy potatoes =1gram.

so, in 36 rupees buy potatoes =50×36

= 1800 gram

or,

= 1kg 800 gram.
