Alex sold it to Shewata at 5% loss at Rs. 1330

So cost price for Alex = 1330× (100/100-5) = Rs. 1400

Vinod had sold it to Alex at 12% gain at Rs. 1400

So CP for Vinod = 1400× (100/100+12) = Rs. 1250

Vinod had paid Rs. 1250 for the watch.

Answer:

Vineet sold a watch to Alex at a gain of 12% and Alex sold it to Priya at a loss of 5% if Priya paid Rs 1330 for it, how much did vineet pay for watch

Step-by-step explanation:

Alex sold it to priya at 5% loss at Rs. 1330

So cost price for Alex = 1330 × (100/100-5) = Rs. 1400

Vineet had sold it to Alex at 12% gain at Rs. 1400

So CP for Vineet = 1400× (100/100+12) = Rs. 1250

Thus,

Vineet had paid Rs. 1250 for the watch
