Dissolve 1 teaspoon of salt into one-half cup of vinegar, and add flour until the mixture becomes a paste. Rub into the brass, leave for about 10 minutes, then rinse with warm water and buff dry.

The statement is true.

The best way to clean brass and copper is salt and vinegar.


However, you can add lemon juice to it in order to form a mixture that will work well for the whole cleaning process.


Other than that, detergent powder, floor, warm water are also used for thorough cleaning.
